Junior Kindergarten

In response to a growing number of parents who feel their children are ready for a program more challenging than K4, we have a Junior Kindergarten program.  To qualify for the classroom, a child must turn 5 years of age between October 1st and May 31st.

Standards for the classroom include:

  • A Virginia state licensed instructor.
  • A minimum of 10 students; maximum of 20 with an aide.
  • Utilization of A Beka curriculum for JK
  • Student materials from A Beka.
  • Appropriately sized desks and chairs.
  • Instruction hours between 8:30am - 2:45pm, Monday through Friday.
  • Lunch, P.E., Music, recess.
  • Rest time after lunch.

 

Parent Conferences and Evaluations will be provided in this program.

New Junior Kindergarten Program at Guardian Christian Academy

In response to a growing number of parents who feel their children are ready for a program more challenging than K4, we have begun a Junior Kindergarten program.

To qualify for the classroom, a child must turn 5 years of age between October 1st and

May 31st.

Standards for the classroom include:

· A Virginia state licensed instructor.

· A minimum of 10 students; maximum of 20 with an aide.

· Utilization of A Beka curriculum for JK

· Student materials from A Beka.

· Appropriately sized desks and chairs.

· Instruction hours between 8:30am - 2:45pm, Monday through Friday.

· Lunch, P.E., Music, recess.

· Rest time after lunch.

Registration fee is $75

Tuition is $3750 and may be paid in 10 monthly installments of $375.

Book fee is determined annually

*Before and After school services are available for a weekly fee:

· Before and After $65 weekly

· Before only $30 weekly

· After only $45 weekly

· Registration fee is $75

*(these prices are only offered to students who attend GCA JK or K-8th grade)
