Remember The Clothes Swapis Thursday, March 17.  Swap tickets can be picked up at the front office. Clothing items need to be in by Tuesday,
March 15.

The grand event is right around the corner, next Friday the 18th! Have you purchased your tickets for “An Evening with the Stars”, the annual variety show? If not, you still have time. Tickets are $3.00 each for those over the age of 2. They can be purchased after school at dismissal, through an envelope sent to school, or from Ms. Dee at the front desk. Prepaid DVDs of the show can be ordered as well. The form is included in this week’s newsletter.

GCA will be holding a Capri Sun Pouch con-test. This will be a contest between the classes for the most Capri Sun pouches brought in. For this contest, pouches are to be brought to school March 14 through April 14. Please remove the straws, rinse off the pouch and flatten it.

Race for Education will be held on March 30th.  RfE has become a favorite fundraiser. It is an exciting activity for the whole family!
Be watching for information. You will be receiving several communications regarding RfE — an email this week, an information letter the week of January 24, and the Kick-Off Packet February 1st.

What is our goal this year with RfE? Glad you asked. We are hoping to net $15,000 which will be used as a down payment on a minibus. Our need for school transportation is increasing for field trips, ACSI events, and for our growing sports program. Our current vans are aging, and we need to replace a van with a minibus.

Last year’s RfE was a great success raising $14,378 in funds for the school. We look forward to another successful event, but this is only possible with your support!
