History of Guardian Christian Academy

Guardian Christian Academy was originally established in 1975 as Meadowbrook Preschool located off Chippanham Parkway on Cogbill Road.  It was a half-day preschool program that provided a Christian environment where children were nurtured and educated.  Even then there were dreams to extend programs to provide more services for children and their families.

When Southside Nazarene Church relocated to the corner of Route 288 and Courthouse Road in 1999 the school incorporated, becoming its own separate legal entity under the name Guardian Christian Academy.  Day care services were made available, the Before and After School programs were added, and an elementary school was birthed.  We now provide educational services through middle school along with summer programming.

Space for further growth has become a concern for both Guardian Christian Academy and Southside Church of the Nazarene.  As a result construction is underway to expand the current facility. The proposed drawings indicate four phases of construction that will double the present square footage.  With two hundred ninety two acres of land, many dreams can become realities.

Newsflash

If kindergarten were to start tomorrow – my daughter is ready and it's only a little over half way through the year now.  I’m so proud and excited that she comes to GCA.  I wouldn’t go anywhere else.
