GCA believes we have a significant education to offer families of our community: a strong academic curriculum with additional programs which provide a well-rounded education for our students – all integrated with biblical principles. Our teachers work with each student to develop not only knowledge but understanding, to acquire not only facts but character. As one of our substitutes said her first day here, “Guardian Christian Academy is the best kept secret in Chesterfield County.” As the GCA Mission States: Guardian Christian Academy partners with parents to provide their children with a distinctly biblical and academically excellent education that will equip students to be godly leaders and to successfully engage the culture for Christ.

That and More Guardian Christian Academy provides for children ages 2 ½ through middle school:
Guardian Christian Academy was originally established in 1975 as Meadowbrook Preschool located off Chippanham Parkway on Cogbill Road. It was a half-day preschool program that provided a Christian environment where children were nurtured and educated. Even then there were dreams to extend programs to provide more services for children and their families.
When Southside Nazarene Church relocated to the corner of Route 288 and Courthouse Road in 1999 the school incorporated, becoming its own separate legal entity under the name Guardian Christian Academy. Day care services were made available, the Before and After School programs were added, and an elementary school was birthed. We now provide educational services through middle school along with summer programming.
Space for further growth has become a concern for both Guardian Christian Academy and Southside Church of the Nazarene. As a result plans were drawn to expand the current facility. The first step is underway, the process of bringing the sewer to the property. The proposed drawings indicate four phases of construction that will double the present square footage. With two hundred ninety two acres of land, many dreams can become realities. |
